Our favorite little Jess is gone. It's been a whirlwind last couple days...couple weeks, actually. Weddings, mission farewells, baby blessings, and actually saying goodbye (for now) to one of my best friends. I finally gave on makeup the last couple days, because those darn tears come at random and unexpected times. I figured out that what sets it off the most is seeing Shelby playing around with that big smile on her face. Jess has been the best auntie to her, and has helped show me how to be a good mommy.
The other night, all my siblings and I had a sleepover together (Jess was set apart and needed a companion!). It was so great to spend that time with her, and hear her talk about her readiness to serve with all her heart.
She is one amazing person who is incredibly full of life. She is a huge example to me. And she is leaving behind several nieces and nephews...sheesh when did that happen? We joke about how there could be twice as many when she returns. Yikes!

We will miss her terribly, but I know Shelby will remember her wonderfully energetic and playful Aunt Jess.

After all, Jess made sure the first name she could say was "Jess" (and it sounds so cute with her little lisp!).
